S.H. Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje

Head of the Karma Kagyu lineage

As the head of one of the great schools of Tibetan Buddhism, the Karma Kagyu lineage, the Gyalwang Karmapa has a fundamental role in the preservation of Tibetan religion and culture. Since H.H. the XVII Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, fled Tibet in 2000, he has increasingly emerged as one of the great spiritual masters of our time. His call to create a future that is more compassionate than before is directly addressed to our society of the 21st century.
