End of Life Care

For more than 30 years, the Kamalashila Institute has repeatedly offered courses in which the profound Buddhist views on death and the associated experiences of consciousness are brought together with practical aspects of accompanying terminally ill people. On the one hand, Buddhist teachings about the “Bardo” states are adopted as a basis, whereby the emotional states on the part of the sick and their relatives are valued and the aim is to create the most favourable circumstances possible for the dying process.
