Acharya Lama Sönam Rabgye will help us to gain a deeper understanding of karma and rebirth and we will examine how this relates to our practice and actions in daily life.

There is often a misunderstanding about what karma really means. Many seem to think that karma is about being rewarded or punished in the next life. In Sanskrit, karma means “arbitrary act” or “deed”. Karma is a law of cause and effect, or an understanding that every act produces a result. If the effects of karma outlast a lifetime, it leads to rebirth.

If we correctly understand the “law” of karma or cause and effect, we will be able to see why previous and future lives are something beyond “believing in it” or not..
