Mahamudra Meditation every last Tuesday of the Month

For all those who have already participated in at least one of the five-day Mahamudra retreats are welcome to join the Mahamudra meditation with Archaya Lama Sönam Rabgye every last Tuesday of the month. There is time for questions and sharing at the end of each session. Participation is on a donation basis. To receive the Zoom link, please register on campus.

For those who have already participated in at least one of the five-day Mahamudra retreats, it is possible to join the monthly meditation meetings. As with the retreats, the text “The Illumination of Thusness” by Dagpo Tashi Namgyal is the basis. Archaya Lama Sönam Rabgye will introduce the Mahamudra meditation of Shamatha and Vipashana using short passages from the text. After the meditation there will be time for questions and discussion.

Dates are always the last Tuesday of the month, 7.00 – 8.30 pm.

About Instructor

Acharya Lama Sönam Rabgye

Acharya Lama Sönam Rabgye has been one of the resident lamas of Kamalashila Institute since 1999. He was born in Nepal and studied at Karma Shri Nalanda Monastic University in Rumtek/Sikkim, later teaching at Karma Lekshey Ling Monastery in Kathmandu. His most important teacher, with whom he took refuge and was ordained, was the 3rd Jamgön Kongtrul, Karma Chökyi Lodrö Senge. As part of his teaching activities, he visits Buddhist centers throughout Europe and supervises Kamalashila city groups. He is a competent teacher of Buddhist philosophy and the meditation practices of sutra, tantra and Mahamudra.
