Anka
Meditation teacher, nurse and mindset coach. Anka studied art and music, worked as a musician, became a teacher and a nurse. In 1994 she began the Tibetan Buddhist path. However, she found it difficult to integrate the Buddhist teachings and practices with her daily experience. From 2003 to 2011 she took part in two traditional 3-year retreats led by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and Lama Kunga in Halscheid. Years of Buddhist practice and study of related spiritual and scientific disciplines followed, leading to a focus on deepening practice in the midst of daily life. In her work in health care and coaching, she was particularly inspired by conversations with people at the end of their lives. She gradually found a way of life that uses daily challenges, Buddhist understanding, science based and meditative practices to keep progressing on the Buddhist path.
