Terms and Conditions of Use for the Online-Campus
Kamalashila Institute – Online-Campus
Section 1 Applicability and Contracting Partner
These Terms and Conditions of Use apply to registered users of the Online-Campus of Kamalashila Institute, especially for participating in live (online) courses and for purchases of login access to online courses. Your contracting partner is the Karma Kagyü Gemeinschaft Deutschland – Tibetisch-Buddhistische Religionsgemeinschaft e.V., Kirchstrasse 22a, 56729 Langenfeld, Germany (hereinafter referred to as ‘Kamalashila’).
Section 2 Concluding a Contract and Invoicing of Online Courses
Fee-based courses offered by the Online-Campus constitute nonbinding offers to you to conclude a contract for the provision of digital (online) course content. By entering your data and by clicking the ‘Order’ button, you are making a binding offer to conclude a contract. Once the order is made (which takes place via our payment service-provider), Kamalashila accepts the offer and sends a confirmation of this by e-mail. Invoicing is carried out by an external service provider (Stripe.com).
Section 3 Right of Revocation
You are entitled to revoke a contract you have concluded without having to state a reason for the revocation if you do this within 14 days and in a manner that contains a clear statement of revocation. The deadline for revocation ends 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.
In order to exercise your right of revocation, you must notify Kamalashila of this by way of a clear statement of your decision to revoke the contract (e.g. via a letter sent by post, telefax, or e-mail to office@karmakagyu.de, or to Karma Kagyü Gemeinschaft Deutschland – Tibetisch-Buddhistische Religionsgemeinschaft e.V., Kirchstrasse 22a, 56729 Langenfeld, Germany). The use of the Sample Revocation Form below is optional. You are not obligated to use it. The revocation deadline is deemed adhered to if the notification of the exercising of your right of revocation is dispatched before the date the revocation deadline ends.
If you revoke the contract, Kamalashila must refund all payments it has received from you, including any delivery costs (with the exception of any additional costs arising from your choice of a form of delivery different to the standard, least costly form of delivery offered by Kamalashila). The refund must be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which Kamalashila receives your notification to revoke the contract. For such refunds, Kamalashila uses the same form of payment used by you in the original transaction, unless something to the contrary has been expressly agreed to with you. In no event will Kamalashila charge you any fees on account of this refund.

Kamalashila reserves the right, at least temporarily, to block accounts that are being excessively accessed by too many (simultaneous) logins if there is an indication that usage is exceeding personal use.
Course materials may not be disclosed outside the scope provided for by law. Especially videos offered by the Online-Campus may neither be downloaded by you nor disclosed by you to third parties without the permission of Kamalashila, above all in situations where technical security measures are being circumvented.
Section 5 Participation in Live Courses
Kamalashila carries out live courses, which as a rule are being recorded. When participating in live courses, care must be taken to ensure a respectful manner and tidy appearance. In the event of violations of netiquette and unheeded warnings of this, Kamalashila reserves the right to exclude individual participants from continued participation in a course.
Section 6 Online Dispute Resolution for Consumers
The EU has a platform for voluntary participation in online dispute resolutions: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/?event=main.home2.show[FR1] [YM2] . Kamalashila is not obligated to do this and has decided not to participate in this.
Section 7 Severability Clause
The present or future invalidity of any individual provision of these Terms and Conditions of Use and/or of the contract supplemented by them does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The contract and these Terms and Conditions of Use remain in all other respects valid for both parties.
