This weekend Acharya Lama Kelzang Wangdi is teaching the Six Bardos according to Guru Rinpoche. The teachings on the bardos (literally “intermediate state”) can help us to gain a deeper understanding of dying and death in Buddhism and to find a way to die peacefully.
We will learn what happens in the dying process and how to deal with emotions in this process. We also look at what happens after death and how we can prepare for it. Acharya Lama Kelzang Wangdi gives an overview of the six bardos and accompanies us in meditations.
The six bardos:
- Bardo of this life
- Bardo of dreaming
- Bardo of meditation
- Bardo of dying
- Bardo of Dharmata
- Bardo of becoming
These bardo teachings are not only about dying and death, but also about living a meaningful life in the present moment.
Acharya Lama Kelzang will teach based on the book “Mind Beyond Death” by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.
