The Life of the Buddha – The Appearance of a Bright Star in Our Human World

This module first introduces the brillant figure of Buddha Gautama Shakyamuni, who was both a human being with a life story and a spiritual genius. After his “Great Awakening” he unfolded a great ability to express himself in speech and with his spiritual power, touching and inspiring many thousands of people in his time. And obviously “the bright star” still reaches us today with its radiance.

In this first module, Lama Kelzang explores questions such as…

  • Who was the Buddha?
  • How did he find his way?
  • What did he discover, what did his awakening consist of?
  • What was the nature of his awakening?
  • Was he a human being, was he an avatar, or God?
  • What did he teach?
