During this weekend Acharya Lama Sönam Rabgye will explain the meaning of the four immeasurable qualities and guide us in reflection and meditation on them.

The four immeasurable or the four limitless qualities that literally have “no measure” (apramana) are love (Skt. metta), compassion (karuna), joy (mudita) and equanimity (upekkha). By dissolving restrictive boundaries, these four qualities expand our ability to experience in our meditation as well as in daily life.

Often recited at the beginning of the meditation session, they form a crucial element of our path and can be used as a wonderful daily reminder to deepen our practice at all levels.

May all sentient beings enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.
May all sentient beings enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.
May all sentient beings enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.
May all sentient beings enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.
